Rachael Blackmore MBE Joins Cancer Fund for Children as Charity Ambassador

Irish National Hunt jockey Rachael Blackmore MBE has announced that she will be representing Cancer Fund for Children as a Charity Ambassador.

Rachael who recently met siblings Jessica, Rachel and Darragh at the Galway races to announce her support is excited to help us raise vital awareness.

“I’m very proud to become an ambassador for Cancer Fund for Children. The charity is dedicated to helping and supporting children, young people and their families who have been affected by cancer. It’s so important that the great services they provide can be made available to as many families as possible at a time when they need it most.”

Cancer Fund for Children provides emotional, social and therapeutic support to children and young people diagnosed with cancer, as well as their parents and siblings across the island of Ireland. Support is provided in the hospital, at home, in the community and at our therapeutic short break centre, Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co. Down.

Plans are already underway for a second Daisy Lodge to be built on the shores of Lough Corrib near Cong, Co. Mayo. With construction commencing later in the year, we hope to officially open our second Daisy Lodge in Spring 2026.
