Delivered by our Cancer Support Specialists, individual support helps children and young people to identify and express their emotions. It helps to reduce anxiety and encourages young people to develop the confidence and practical skills to cope with their cancer or cancer in their family.
Children and young people react to a cancer diagnosis in different ways, regardless of age, gender, social background, or family make up. Some cope well, others need limited support, whilst others may experience more complex challenges. Our team understands this and has the experience and skills required to offer children and young people the ‘right support, at the right time, in the right way.’ Our focus is flexible, informal and tailored to meet the young person’s needs.
