Children and young people react to a cancer diagnosis in different ways, regardless of age, gender, social background, or family make up. Cancer Fund for Children’s team of community-based Cancer Support Specialists provide children and young people the right support, at the right time, in the right way.
Individual community support is available across Ireland. We have Cancer Support Specialists in Munster, Leinster, Connaught and Ulster to help ensure no child has to face cancer alone.
Individual support is available to
5 - 24 yrs
Children and young people diagnosed with cancer aged 5-24
5 - 24yrs
Siblings of children with cancer aged 5-24
The team deliver emotional, social and informal therapeutic support in the family home and in the community, helping children and young people connect, speak openly and develop key skills so they feel better equipped to cope with the impact of cancer.
This support is funded in partnership with The Katie Nugent Fund.
