Over €310K raised for children with cancer at this year’s Cancer Fund for Children Daisy Ball
This year’s Daisy Ball which took place during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month has raised €310K to help ensure no child faces cancer alone
TV presenter Kathryn Thomas, Adi Roach and Nuala Carey were just some of the high-profile guests at the annual Cancer Fund for Children Daisy Ball, which took place on Friday 20th Sept at the InterContinental Hotel, Dublin.
The glamorous event invites guests for an evening of fine dining and entertainment, whilst raising vital funds and awareness for the charity. The night included a live auction, with prizes including a one-of-a-kind painting from Irish artist Eoin O’Connor, as well as two tickets to the sold-out Oasis gig in Croke Park in 2025.
Kathryn Thomas, who was MC for the night, was delighted to host the sixth annual Daisy Ball.
“Anybody that is striving and volunteering and working tirelessly to make the lives of children and their families affected by cancer better, is an organisation worth supporting.”
Tv presenter Kathryn Thomas
Cancer Fund for Children provide emotional, social, and therapeutic support to children and young people (0-24yrs) living with cancer across the island of Ireland, as well as their parents and siblings. This support is provided at home, in hospital, in the community and at the charity’s short-break therapeutic centre, Daisy Lodge in Newcatle, Co. Down. Plans for our second Daisy Lodge are already underway on the shores of Lough Corrib in Cong, Co. Mayo, with construction to commence later in the year.
Vanessa, our Young Ambassador, shared the importance of a second Daisy Lodge with guests at the Ball.
“I feel like the Daisy Lodge being built in Cong is going to be such a relief to many, many families that will be able to go there, relax and have a fun time. And more families will be able to join because I know, with [Daisy Lodge] in Northern Ireland, there’s a waiting list because there’s so many families. So, I feel it’s a big opportunity for families to go there and enjoy their time there.”

Donations throughout the evening have helped to raise over €310,000, and counting, which will go directly towards our services helping families impacted by a childhood cancer diagnosis across the island of Ireland.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our headline sponsor Kingsbridge Private Hospital, and our supporting sponsors Yes Insurance, Elave Skincare, and Camiral Golf and Wellness Resort for helping to make this year’s Daisy Ball one of our best yet.
