‘Tell it like it is’ – Have Your Say on Northern Ireland’s New Cancer Strategy

 In News
We would  like to give children and young people living with and beyond cancer and their parents and guardians the opportunity to have their say on the development of a new cancer strategy for Northern Ireland.

In May 2019, the Department of Health announced the development of a new cancer strategy for 2020 -2030. The new strategy is currently being developed in consultation with a range of health professionals, public bodies, local charities and most importantly those people who have been directly impacted by cancer.

Cancer Fund for Children, like many other stakeholders, is keen that the unique experience of children and young people diagnosed with cancer is heard so that their specific needs can be taken into consideration in the development of  the new cancer strategy.

With the support of the Department of Health, we are able to offer two opportunities for young people (aged 8-24 when diagnosed) and parents/carers of young people with cancer (aged 0-24 when diagnosed) to have their voices heard.
