ReadOn school wins visit from Cool FM presenter
Blythefield Primary School won a visit from Rebecca McKinney as part of their involvement with Cancer Fund for Children's ReadOn initiative.
The wonderful Primary 2 classes of Blythefield Primary School won a very special visit from Cool FM presenter Rebecca McKinney, in support of their recent fundraising activities. These wonderful staff and pupils have signed up to ReadOn, a sponsored reading initiative organised by Cancer Fund for Children in aid of children and young people impacted by cancer.
During ReadOn, pupils are encouraged to read a little extra while gathering sponsoring to help fund vital services for children impacted by cancer.
Rebecca McKinney was delighted to pop along to Blythefield to motivate these pupils on their reading journey and was also joined by Schools Fundraiser from the charity, Rebecca Oates.
While the competition with Cool FM is now over, schools can still register their classes or year groups to take part in ReadOn and promote reading while helping to ensure no child has to face cancer alone.
