Health & Wellbeing Days
Throughout the year we hold Health and Well-Being Days in Daisy Lodge for parents of children with cancer and parents who are diagnosed with cancer. These relaxation days are all about you and are designed to help alleviate stress, and improve overall well-being.
Each session begins in Daisy Lodge at 10.15am with a light breakfast followed by complementary therapies, beauty treatments and hair styling. This includes:
Facials – a relaxing treatment to help improve the appearance of your skin
Reflexology – a relaxing foot treatment to help with symptoms associated with stress such as sleep problems, breathing, digestive problems and tension
Aromatherapy – a relaxing massage including the use of essential oils
File and Paint – a nail treatment including your personal choice of polish
Hair Styling –trim/ wash and blow dry
After a healthy lunch you can attend a yoga class, which will help you to relax your body and mind. You can chose to participate in the group programme, or have a relaxing walk in the forest or simply have time out to sit and relax in Daisy Lodge.
Each session will end at 4.00pm.
There is an option to stay overnight on some of the dates listed below with breakfast in the morning and check out at 10.00am. Numbers are limited and priority will be given to parents of a child currently in treatment and to parents who have not had the chance to attend a Health and Well-Being day. Diagnosed parents may bring a friend or carer with them either for day or overnight.
Please note to attend our Health and Well-being days your family must currently be receiving support from Cancer Fund for Children. Find out more about our referral process here.
