Presents for Pounds
August 31, 2021 @ 8:00 am - September 1, 2022 @ 5:00 pm
Swap presents for pounds and make a difference to local children, young people and their families affected by cancer.
Instead of receiving Christmas gifts from pupils, we are inviting school staff to ask parents to make a donation to Cancer Fund for Children instead.
It doesn’t have to be the whole school, it can be individual classes or pupils. Maybe you are part of a group chat with other parents in your child’s class, why not suggest Presents for pounds to everyone in the group. We can help you tick one present of your list this Christmas! You will receive a personalised card for the teacher, so they know who the donation was from and how your donation has helped.
What Your school will receive if you register:
- Posters for your school
- Cancer Fund for Children donation envelope for each pupil
- Letter explaining Presents for Pounds to parents
Schools Visits – You can request a visit from our Schools Fundraiser (if Covid restrictions allow), allowing the pupils to hear all about the work of the charity.
How your money will help?
Your school will make a difference to local children living with cancer across Northern Ireland. By simply picking up a book and reading, pupils across Northern Ireland have helped Cancer Fund for Children support families through a range of services including therapeutic short breaks at Daisy Lodge in Newcastle and one to one support sessions with our Specialists.
To find out more or to sign up and complete the form on the right hand side of the schools homepage, call us on 028 9080 5599 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
