We are thrilled to once again be offering our amazing supporters the chance to take to the skies in aid of Cancer Fund for Children with the talented team from the Irish Parachute Club in Co. Offaly.
On Saturday 17th February 2024, we need YOU to take the leap with us, help us mark International Childhood Cancer Day and raise vital funds in support of children and young people impacted by cancer. Are you ready for the challenge?
Let 2024 be your year of adventure with the rush of an exhilarating tandem skydive while soaking up the majestic views of Ireland!
A tandem jump is where you are attached to an expert tandem master and require very little training. The tandem skydive from 10,000 feet gives you 30 seconds of freefall, travelling at 200km per hour, before your two-man parachute is deployed at 5,000ft. You will then get the chance to steer the parachute to the landing zone, sailing downwards over the undulating hills and lush green fields of the Midlands, for a soft touchdown in front of family and friends.
Sign Up Today
Register today and pay your registration fee by downloading and returning the registration form at the top or bottom of the page.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in a skydive. There is no upper age limit for a tandem jump, but all persons over the age of 50 years must supply a current medical certificate from their registered General Medical Practitioner certifying their medical suitability to undertake a parachute jump.
The maximum weight limit for all tandem skydiving at The Irish Parachute Club is 230lb (16.4st / 104kg) which is proportional to height, age and sex.
80% of your fundraising target is due to be submitted no later than Friday 2nd February with the remainder due no later than Saturday 17th February.
Once your registration fee has been paid, you can then proceed with setting up your online iDonate fundraising page to get your fundraising journey underway – https://www.idonate.ie/event/internationalchildhoodcancerdayskydive2024.
Our dedicated Fundraising Team will also be here to support you every step of the way in achieving your sponsorship target! From fundraising advice to materials such as hard copy sponsor forms, buckets, banners and balloons, we are only a phone call or email away for anything you need.

Making a Difference
By taking on this incredible challenge you will be raising vital funds to ensure we can continue to be there for young people and families when they need us most.
Every month across the island of Ireland, approximately 40 children and young people (aged 0-25) are diagnosed with cancer.
At Cancer Fund for Children, we understand the devastating impact a cancer diagnosis and its treatment can have on the whole family, and that beyond the essential medical care, there is a family life that needs to be rebuilt. Help us connect, empower, and strengthen families so they feel better equipped to deal with what lies ahead on their cancer journey.
You will have the support of our Fundraising Team every step of the way to support your incredible efforts. From providing sponsorship forms and helping you with event ideas to help you reach your target (coffee morning, quiz night, whatever you fancy!), to providing you with buckets, balloons, banners, and much more, we are only ever a phone call or email away to help make it all possible.
Setting up your own event
Planning your own event is a great way to support us.
Whether organising a gala dinner, head shave, fun day or football match, there will be an event to suit you, and we'll be here to support you every step of the way.
